A printing machine is a device for applying ink to paper or other materials, usually with the aid of a stencil, by means of which an image or design is printed. The first known printing machine was invented by Johannes Gutenberg in the 15th century and was capable of printing up to 200 sheets per day. Since then, the technology has evolved rapidly and there are now many different types of printing machines available on the market, from small desktop printers to large commercial units.
